Using Pagerank To Drive Traffic To Your Site

How likely it is that random viewers will see your SEO websites in the search results is most often determined by your pagerank. The higher your rank is, the more visitors that will come to your website looking for information on whatever they had typed into the search box. This is a very simple way to put it; it all boils down to the closer to number one you are. The closer you are, the more money you will make.

Every search engine uses different algorithms to sort and pull up results, but the basics of the process are essentially the same. They all look at the keyword density of a website, the overall optimization, how much traffic it receives already, and the incoming links from other sites. They compare these factors with competing websites to sort them by overall quality and popularity. This is something every SEO marketer needs to take advantage of.

The world’s most popular and largest search engine is Google. Most marketers only focus on Google and what their page ranking is on that site. Yahoo!, Bing, and other search engines only handle a fraction of the traffic that Google does, and as such, Google should be your main focus. Paying attention to your website’s ranking on other search engines will only lead to more traffic and can never hurt, but most of your efforts should be put towards matching Google’s algorithms.

The niche that you decide to work with will be a key component to your pagerank. Different niche topics and keywords have varying degrees of already existing competition and overall traffic. Working your way to the top in a niche that is already saturated can be an up hill battle, especially if the top search results are high optimized and aged. Shooting for the number one rank in this type of situation is aiming a little high. Due to the huge amount of potential traffic in larger niches, even getting in the top 10 is enough to become highly profitable.

By working with smaller niches, you will have a smaller amount of competition to deal with, but there will, sadly, also be less traffic. Working with small niches means that you will need to have multiple websites dedicated to more than just one niche, and more than one content article page on each one to really make any sort of profit. It is not impossible to make money from these smaller targets, but you must work your way to the top pagerank to make the amount that you would need from some of the more popular niches.

Starting a profitable niche website is an uphill battle. Getting real revenue from a website takes more than just a domain name and an article. Check out my website for more helpful articles on the subject. We also have services for those who want to get into <a href="
