MLM Opportunity – Do Reps Want To Be Pitched To?

Do you remember the last instance when a salesperson made contact with you and sold you a product?I’m sure if your day had not been that good and you wanted to be left alone, nothing could have convinced you to buy a product from that salesperson. Of course this doesn’t mean you’d never buy from someone; but everyone has bad days when they can’t be convinced to come out of their mood.

We all know that selecting a good time to sell is important; but there are so many people who want to force their MLM opportunity on us the very day they meet us. Then maybe a better approach would be to get to know someone before you decide to give them your 1 min sales pitch. This doesn’t guarantee sales; but it’s at least a better technique than trying to sell to anything on legs.

People keep making this error when they market their business on the internet. You see this happening when you accept friendship requests from people you don’t know through social networks. They follow up right after that with a giant e-mail with their pitch for you to join their MLM downline. How many people would want to buy from or trust strangers? What’s a better option? Establish easy communication with them by making comments on their blogs, offering information, mailing them and once you’re created good rapport, you could think of starting your sales talk. Sure this might seem slower but the rate you close will be better. Why?

1) Validates that the person is actually there. What use is blasting e-mails to people who aren’t active.
2) You can judge if this person can carry on a conversation and handle themselves well.
3) You actually build a physical network link to someone that will talk to you. This is a technique to secure their cooperation.
4) Maybe this person might not be the person who could be your next associate or customer but then again they could refer you to someone who might.

Be friends first then get a feel to how the situation is. If they have something to sell, lend them a ear to know about their products; don’t discourage them outright. What comes around goes around. If you delete ever single e-mail that comes your way then how do you expect someone to read yours? Use this to your advantage and learn what is hot right now. MLM leads are everywhere if your looking in the right places.
