Marketing Without The Disappointment

Business owners often get disappointed with the results of their marketing efforts. And in most cases, they get less than stellar results than what they expected.

Even with a marketing plan backed up by accurate demographics and research, most businesses will often fall prey to “get rich quick” scams that only make the scammer’s money, not you. A million hits in 7 days, Really?

Instead of trying to develop a sound marketing plan, our first impulse is to run every promotion we can think of based on the latest trend. Sound familiar?

This is especially true today as many business owners are working with a tighter budget for their marketing campaigns, and not to mention that consumers are cubing their spending.

Just because sales may be slow, many tend to run to what ever “get rich quick” that they can find hoping that these gimmicks will help get their business out in front of the masses. Doesn’t work. Never does.

At the end of the day you not only wasted your time, but also your money.

Instead of giving more meaning to our marketing efforts and focusing on our Brand, we tend to go in the direction that gives us instant attention for quick repair of our slow sales situation. It’s like applying tape on a leak. It may stop the leak for a few moment, but it would not last very long.

So instead of running towards the instant marketing gimmicks to try and attract some attention, why not make it a goal to create more meaningful marketing campaigns? Instead of putting more focus on quick sales, try to work on creating valuable relationships with your target audience.

Marketing campaigns such as PR Campaign that incorporates public relations and search engine optimization can bring more meaning and better results in terms of sales and connecting with your audience not to mention getting publicity.

Your goal should also be on encouraging more repeat business from your customers so you can help your business survive as well as thrive in your chosen industry. Capitalize on what you have to offer and make sure that you are building brand value not just sales.

How do you accomplish this? Shift your focus on finding your target market and then sending your message to them. A marketing campaign would certainly have more meaning to your target audience if your business message connects with that particular niche.

Sending the right message to the right target audience can go a long way and compliment your marketing efforts that could bring your business success or failure if you are following the “get rich quick” group.

Focus on value, and the profits will follow. When you apply these lessons you will not be disappointed with your marketing.
