Don’t underestimate the potential of glow in the dark if you’re on a budget, or if your brand appeals to a younger crowd.

During the daytime, you’ve got a wider repertoire of techniques that will draw attention. However, you’ve also got more competition for attention: it is easier to see beyond the immediate booth in the daylight. One of the best ways to attract visitors is to offer free food or drinks, and to advertise that fact heavily. Outside trade show exhibits tend to have a lot of space available – use it! If your event is outside during the summertime, invest in bottled water at your trade show booths if at all possible. Keep the water cold, and you’ll get visitors flocking to your display.

Be Creative With Your Portable Exhibits

Daylight allows you a lot more flexibility in what you can do. Big signs are much more acceptable, and bold, fun details are easier for your visitors to see. Use big graphics; they’ll be highlighted by the sun, making them easier to see. Don’t underestimate the power of music either. Outdoor trade show exhibits are often competing with a lot of background noise; projecting your video’s music, or even just a tune that is compatible with your brand can go a long way with your visitors.

Ensure That Your Trade Show Displays Mesh With The Outdoor Feeling

Most outside exhibitions have a real fun vibe. If your brand doesn’t encourage that kind of sensibility, consider whether the event is really for you. You’ll have success if your company can let loose and encourage your guests to enjoy themselves. Venues like fairs may not even attract attendees who are expecting pitches; your best strategy is to offer something that attracts people across the spectrum, not just those who might be focused on what you offer.

Likewise, if you are setting up trade show exhibits at your own outdoor festival or sale, you should encourage a fun atmosphere. If possible, bring in a moon bounce for children and some popcorn. The more fun people have, the more memorable the experience will be – and the more conversions you’ll get when visitors think back on your company in years to come.
