How To Find And Use Profitable Keywords In Your Online Business!

Do you sometimes wonder how some people manage to start an online business that seems to effortlessly succeed from the word go?

When they put up a website, the customers and money just seem to come to them like moths drawn towards a light bulb.

But when you try to do the same thing, all you end up with is a cute little website that takes money away from you through hosting fees and leaves your bank account colder, dryer and emptier!

What is the problem here?

Well, if you are like most people learning internet marketing, the problem is most likely that you have not yet mastered how to use profitable keywords on your website and in your marketing.

That is ok. It takes time but it can be very rewarding once you get a hang of it.

Make no mistake, if you do not learn how to use profitable keywords your online business will surely fail. Keywords are at the heart of internet marketing.

So I am especially excited to reveal to you 2 powerful strategies for using keywords to create an online business that will make money for you far more easily than you probably anticipated.

Let us get into them!

The first strategy is to only use keywords that have a high keyword effectiveness index. This is such a long phrase so we just say KEI.

But what does this mean? Well, KEI is simply a comparison between the search volume that Google predicts for a particular keyword during a certain month and the number of search results in Google for that keyword.

The closer the gap between the search volume and the search results, the higher the KEI.

So for example, if you find that keyword A has 400 000 search results and a search volume of 49 500 and keyword B has 900 000 search results and a search volume of 49 500 then Keyword A has a higher KEI. That means it is probably a more profitable keyword.

Why is that the case?

Well, a keyword with a higher KEI means that you will have less competition if you decide to focus on marketing to people who are searching for that keyword.

So in our example above, keyword A has 400 000 people who are trying to provide information, services, or products to 49 500 people. Keyword B on the other hand has 900 000 people trying to provide information, products or services to 49 500 people.

So it is most likely that you will have fewer competitors to worry about if you decide to design your marketing and your website based on Keyword A. That is the importance of high KEI. It is all about reducing your competition.

In order to find the search volume for a particular keyword, simply use the Google keyword tool. Just search for it using Google.

All you have to do is type your keyword into the tool and it will show you the number of people who have searched for that keyword during the past month. That is the search volume.

In order to find the search results for a keyword just type the keyword into Google as if you were the one searching for more information.

At the top of your computer screen you will see a number. It is usually a huge number. Those are the search results for that keyword.

So make sure you compare the search results with the search volume for every main keyword you plan to use on your website and in your marketing in order to see if it has a high or low KEI.

Your aim is to come up with a list of high KEI keywords that you will base you entire online business on.

The second strategy for using profitable keywords to create a money making online business is to create separate groups of related theme keywords for use on your website.

Each separate group can then be used to create a separate page of your website. This is called LSI and stands for Latent Sematic Indexing.

This is really important because it makes your website very focused on a particular market which makes it easy for Google to send you people who are highly likely to buy your products.

It also helps you build a website that thoroughly helps your market solve their problem.

When people come to your site, they will feel like you really understand them and have real solutions to their problems. So this strategy adds depth to your business.

Let us look at an example of how you could apply this to your website. Imagine that your online business is about fishing. What you need to do is to take the word fishing and put it in the Google keyword tool.

When you do this, a number of other keywords that are related to fishing will pop up. For example fishing supplies, fish tanks and fishing boats might pop up.

I do not fish but let us assume that these words come up. Use these keywords as titles of your website pages. So page 1 will be on Fishing. Page 2 is on Fishing Supplies and so on.

What you need to do next is to take each of those keywords and put it into the keyword tool. So for example, put the word fishing supplies into the keyword tool. When you do this other words that Google feels are relevant to fishing supplies will show up.

Now this is where it gets interesting. Use some of those other words that come up to create a group of keywords that all relate to fishing supplies.

You can then use that group of keywords to create your fishing supplies website page.

When you do this, Google will reward you with higher rankings because in their opinion (the one that counts!) you will have keywords that are relevant to fishing supplies on your fishing supplies webpage.

So make sure you remember to do this for each of your website pages. They will be more focused and will attract higher quality visitors.

If you combine this strategy with using keywords that have high traffic and a high KEI, you will really increase your chances of creating a profitable business that helps you make money online for a very long time.

And THAT, is a wonderful thing indeed!
