Only you should be able to have clear access to this line and make sure that your love ones understand. This will permit you to keep a talkative teen from occupying your second line if mom is talking on the first line. Additionally, it also will allow you to put your workday to rest.
Turning off the ringer when you are done with your days work and focusing on your family will take care of a lot of the resentment that might be building by your family when they see you answering the phone during dinner or making business calls during game night.
