5 Simple Marketing Strategies You Can Use To Make Twitter Your Best Ally!

Twitter marketing is a powerful way to get started online. It is 100% FREE and is one of the most effective ways to build a quality list of targeted prospects.

This makes it one of the easiest ways to make money online. But if that is the case, why is there only a small number of people enjoying significant success on Twitter?

Well, there are many reasons. One of the most common reasons is that most people only have a very basic understanding of Twitter marketing.

Once they set up their Twitter page, they do not have any solid and proven strategies to use to fully harness the power of Twitter.
You may be one of those people.

So in order to help solve this problem, I have put together 5 strategies that you can use to take your Twitter marketing to the next level. If you use them consistently, Twitter will soon become your ally.
I am sure you cannot wait to discover what these strategies are so let us get right into them!

The first strategy is to use bit.ly to shorten the links that you use in your Twitter marketing. Why would you want to shorten your links?

Well, Twitter only allows you to use 140 characters in each tweet that you make so it is important to use most of those characters to write an effective marketing message to your followers.

The problem is that this is not always possible when part of that message includes a link that uses up a significant amount of the characters.

For example, if your link takes up 44 characters it means you only have 96 characters with which to make your point. That is less than the length of the last sentence!

Would it not be better to have 120 characters or so to use to make your point? Using bit.ly can help you achieve that. Of course there are many other link shortening services that you can use but this is the best one I have used.

The second strategy you can use that will really help you succeed on Twitter is to review other peoples products on a regular basis.

For example, every week, you could review products that you know your followers are interested in, in order to show them the pros and cons of each product.

Imagine how helpful this would be!

All you would do is review the products as honestly as possible and let your followers decide for themselves which product they would like to use.

This strategy positions you as a trusted friend in the eyes of your followers. And when you finally promote a product, more of them will buy.

The third strategy that you can use in your Twitter marketing is to make sure you always provide your followers with massive value when you are promoting products.

It is a well known marketing tactic to give something free to the people that you are promoting a product to. This helps to move you from an unwelcome pest to a welcome guest.

If you have been marketing online for any length of time then you probably know that people hate to be sold to. This gets even worse on Twitter.

Why? Because Twitter is a site that is all about socialising and relationship building rather than buying and selling.

So in order to effectively promote a product on Twitter, it is a better approach to provide a link to a free report rather than to simply send people to a sales page.

Nothing could kill your twitter campaigns faster.

Your free report can then direct people to whatever sales page you want them to visit. This is a less forceful way to sale and will work better.

The fourth strategy that you include in your Twitter marketing bag of tricks is to ask your followers questions. How does this help you succeed on twitter? Well, there are 2 main ways.

Firstly, when you ask your followers questions, it helps you to stand out from the crowd. Very few marketers really care about their followers. All they want is a quick buck.

So when you ask a question like, What aspect of investing do you guys really want to know about?, you position yourself in the mind of your followers as the person who actually wants to help them solve their problems.

And when this happens, your followers will more willingly pull out their credit cards.

The second way this strategy helps you to succeed is that when you ask a question and your followers reply, that is free advertising for you.

The reason for this is that YOUR user name will be visible to everyone who sees their replies. And that is the full blown power of Twitter at its best!

The fifth strategy you can use to turn your Twitter marketing into a highly profitable activity is to find out the people who follow your competitors and follow them.

I know this sounds a bit black hat but it is a perfectly ethical and effective strategy because you genuinely want to help these people.

So why would you want to follow your competitors followers? Well, have you ever heard of the Twitter Phenomenon? This is simply the fact that in most cases, when you follow someone, they will follow you back.

I do not really know why that is the case but that is what happens.
So if you follow your competitors followers, some will follow you back and you will end up with a list of very targeted followers.

You know they are interested in what you have to offer otherwise they would not be following your competitors.

This method is a fool proof strategy for building a list of interested followers so try it out!

You now have 5 powerful and proven strategies that you can use to dominate on Twitter. If you make an effort to consistently use these strategies you will soon discover that Twitter marketing is one of the best and most fun ways to make money online.

It is free and you can make money while you have interesting conversations that really benefit your followers.

Now THAT is a fantastic thing indeed!
